Bah! Humbug! Pretty in Pink

Well I have to say this week's Bah! Humbug! challenge through me for a loop. The challenge is "Pretty in Pink" and I thought "oh, won't that be fun?" until I started looking for paper. I did have a few DP's that fit the bill, but they didn't coordinate with any other pinks I had so I finally gave up and decided to try something new. I'd never cut my Poinsettia Frameabilities so I cut and embossed 2 parts of the frame and airbrushed with my Copics (much to my DH's delight since he bought me the system and really nice air compressor for Christmas and I haven't used it much...yet.) I matted it in silver foil card stock and added some silver adhesive beads, ribbon, and metallic sentiment sticker. My only problem is it doesn't really look like a Christmas card to me. Oh well, it's too late in the game to start over.

  1. Donna, what a pretty card! What is the Bah! Humbug! challenge? I've been looking to enter some challenges and I might like to do some "pretty in pink". If you don't mind, what is the website address? I'm really slow when it comes to challenges. The only one I've submitted to was Cricutters Anonymous and now that I can craft again, they're discontinuing the challenges.

    I'll be seeing you!

  10. Oh My Goodness Donna - what a fabulous card! Love the airbrushed effect you have used on the poinsettias and the silver 'Joy' is a perfect description of what the person receiving it will feel when they open the envelope. Thank you for joining us at Bah! Humbug! again this week and showing such a wonderful technique.

  14. It looks beautiful to me Donna, that frameabilitie is stunning. Pink isn't always the most thought of Christmas colour so reckon that's why you don't think it looks Christmassy.
